Pngr
Application Management

Uninstalling Pngr

Remove the application while keeping or deliberately removing local data.

macOS

Quit Pngr, then move the Pngr application from Applications to the Trash. The application bundle and monitoring data are separate. Removing the bundle leaves the data directory available for a later installation.

Windows

Quit Pngr, then open Windows Installed apps, find Pngr, and choose Uninstall. Installer builds register uninstall support through Velopack. A portable copy can be removed by deleting its application folder after closing it.

Keep a backup or remove data

Default installed-app data locations are:

PlatformData directory
macOS~/Library/Application Support/TraceScope
Windows%LOCALAPPDATA%\TraceScope

The database filename is tracescope.db. The TraceScope directory name is retained to preserve existing sessions, settings, profiles, and workspaces after the Pngr rename.

For a backup, quit Pngr and copy the entire data directory to a safe location. CSV export is useful for measurement analysis, but it is not a full workspace backup.

To remove local history and configuration completely, quit Pngr and delete this data directory only after saving anything you want to keep. Removing it discards locally stored monitoring history and configuration.

Source-checkout launches use artifacts/data when a containing checkout is detected. Launches using --data-dir PATH store data at that explicit path instead. Check which location you used before deleting data.
