Saved sessions

Reopen locally retained monitoring history.

Open history

  1. Choose File → Open History….
  2. Select a session in Saved trace sessions.
  3. Click Open selected session, or double-click the entry.

If that session is already open as a live target, Pngr selects the existing target. Otherwise it adds a Saved session target for historical inspection. Opening a saved session does not restart monitoring.

Read saved data carefully

The initial saved hop table uses the latest probing configuration and route from the latest 15 minutes of available measurements. It is not a summary of every route ever observed in that session. Select a historical interval to inspect earlier statistics.

Older sessions may show a warning that their probing configuration was not recorded. Do not infer unrecorded payload, timeout, or protocol settings from those samples.

Saved graphs are limited to retained data. A session with no saved samples cannot be opened for graph inspection. Retention and data-maintenance operations can remove older measurements; a saved session is not an independent archive file.

Preserve history

Pngr stores sessions in its local SQLite database. CSV export creates a portable copy of retained raw measurements. Workspace configuration export saves configuration rather than exporting measurement history.

Quit Pngr before copying the full application data directory for a backup. See uninstalling for default storage locations.
