Introduction
Local network diagnostics for macOS and Windows.
Pngr monitors network paths and destinations from a desktop application. Use it to observe latency spikes, compare responding hops, and revisit measurements saved on your computer.
What Pngr includes
- Independent monitoring targets using ICMP, TCP, or UDP.
- A hop table and latency visualization, with response-loss and jitter statistics.
- Multiple synchronized historical graphs, time selections, zooming, and panning.
- Saved sessions, CSV export, and workspace restoration.
- Target groups and reusable probing profiles.
- Route-change events and optional alert actions.
- An optional read-only local Web / API interface.
- Installer-based updates with your approval before installation.
Pngr stores settings and measurement history locally in SQLite. It requires no cloud account or background monitoring service. Keep the application open to collect measurements; closing it stops monitoring and the optional local API.
Response loss is diagnostic evidence
A missing probe reply does not prove that a router dropped forwarded traffic. Routers can filter or rate-limit diagnostic responses while continuing to forward packets. Compare destination measurements and application symptoms before drawing conclusions.
